I couldn’t believe how much my health improved on every level when I saw a chiropractor.
Sure, most people visit their chiropractor for back pain. But if a chiropractic adjustment improves overall nerve function, aside from relieving pain, sometimes you can see pretty amazing changes in someone’s health.
Amazing story, Monique van der Vorst, was paralyzed from the hips down since she was 13. At the age of 27, she gets hit by a car while in her wheelchair while training for the 2012 London Paralympics. Soon after getting hit by the car, she regained sensation in her feet, then started walking again. Now she’s just signed a contract with a women’s professional cycling team and is eyeing the 2016 Olympics as a possibility.
If getting hit by a car, restored nerve function after 14 years in a wheelchair, I wonder what visiting a chiropractor could have done for her, after her initial injury when she was 13? Very simply, a chiropractor uses specific spinal adjustments to improve nerve function by restoring normal spinal motion and alignment.
While we can’t be sure, if she had seen a chiropractor, I think things could have been very different for her.
Sure makes you think.
