It’s not rocket science, to be healthy, you have to eat a healthy diet.
It’s no secret, better nutrition gives you better health. As your health improves, your body functions better. With better body function, you heal better and you feel better.
An easy way to improve nutrition is by adding something healthy like hummus – a high protein, anti-inflammatory powerhouse of a snack. If you can add hummus and replace your usual starchy snack food, ie. bread, crackers, or chips, with healthy sliced vegetables, eg. carrots, broccoli, red peppers, etc. you’re well on your way to making a very positive change. Having a high protein food like hummus is going to fill you up as well. Much better than a snack of empty calories, which leaves you feeling hungry minutes after eating.
Word of warning – avoid store bought if at all possible as they can be loaded with junk – too much salt, preservatives, additives, genetically modified franken-chemicals and damaged oils. However, if you are buying store bought, look for an organic one made with virgin olive oil.
